Qualifications for active membership
Membership is open to persons eighteen years of age and over who satisfy the qualifications for active membership, privileged membership, senior membership or honorary membership.
What can Kiwanis do for you?
Becoming a member of Kiwanis offers fellowship with men and women with a wide diversity of backgrounds and an opportunity to expand your horizons, both on a personal and professional level. There is a lot of networking with fellow members of the Shelton Club and other clubs. Membership provides you with a greater opportunity to serve your community, an opportunity to hear speakers on a wide variety of topics and an opportunity for leadership development and skill building via committee work and officer positions. Through volunteer service, one experiences the good feeling of helping others.
In return, what we expect from you
Kiwanis International and the Kiwanis Club of Shelton, Washington are founded on the principles of fellowship and service to the community. We are a service club. We expect every member to pay their dues and be an active member! Participating looks different for everyone – it may mean attending weekly meetings, volunteering at service projects and other activities, wearing your Kiwanis pin, serving on a committee or on the Board, or attending Kiwanis conferences and conventions. We are so much more than a luncheon club!
